Have you seen cruise ships today! It is like having Las Vegas on a boat and anything that you need. There is a myth out there that taking an extravagant cruise is expensive. This is not necessarily true. Many cruises can be very expensive, however with a little time and research you can and will find the cruise of your dreams for a very large discounted price.
Tips on Saving you Money
A friend of mine has a son the works for a very large cruise line. He is actually the head of sales for a large city in the U.S. I was speaking with my friend one day and he said to always be patient, flexible and book a cruise late…very late. The cruise liners do not want to leave port with empty rooms. So if you have the patience wait until the latest possible moment and then book your cruise and you will find enormous discounts. My friend went on a 3 week cruise around Central America for $75. No Joke!!!
Of course the main objection will be “I do not have that kind of flexibility”. Be patient there are still ways to save huge and book your dream cruise. The first strategy is to book early. Real early. I am talking 6 months early. Many cruise liners offer huge discounts for booking and paying in full 3-6 months ahead of time. Next is to get on a list to be a standby passenger. The cruise line will call you when the date approaches and let you know the availability and cost. This is a great idea because you can still have a few weeks warning and schedule your work and life around it.
